How to Download TikTok Videos

The same three simple steps on your phone, tablet, or computer.

TikTok's “Save video” option embeds the logo and username in the exported file. DWTikTok retrieves the clean playback file instead, giving you a better source for editing.

On an Android phone

  1. Open the TikTok app and select the video you want.
  2. Tap the Share arrow on the right side.
  3. Tap Copy link.
  4. Open this site's home page in your browser and paste the link.
  5. Tap Download. The file will be saved in your Downloads folder.

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Copy the video link with Share → Copy link.
  2. Open the site in Safari, tap the field, and paste the link.
  3. After selecting Download, find the file under Files → Downloads.
  4. To add it to Photos, open the file and choose “Save Video.”

On a Windows PC or Mac

  1. Open the TikTok video's page in your browser.
  2. Copy the complete URL from the address bar: tiktok.com/@username/video/….
  3. Paste it into DWTikTok and select Download.
  4. Choose the recommended MP4 at the top for most uses, a smaller quality below it when file size matters, or M4A and MP3 when you only need audio.

Download multiple videos at once

Editors often need 20 or 30 clips from the same creator. Use the bulk downloader to paste one link per line, up to 50 links. Each batch gets its own URL with live progress, and completed files can be downloaded together in one ZIP.

Choose a format

OptionWhen to use it
MP4 · highest, marked recommendedThe best clean H.264 file, for reliable editing in Premiere Pro and CapCut.
MP4 · lower qualitiesEvery other resolution TikTok offers, each labelled with its file size. Useful on slow connections or limited storage.
M4A · original audioThe post's own audio track copied out untouched, with no re-encoding loss.
MP3 · 128 kbpsAudio re-encoded for older editors and phones that will not accept M4A.
MP4 · with watermarkThe original watermarked download version, when TikTok exposes one.

DWTikTok prefers H.264 over H.265 (bytevc1). H.265 files may be smaller, but many editors handle them poorly, resulting in a slow timeline or failed import.
